| From the ancient time, raw starch has been of immense value to human
life as an important source of energy ans has been used, for instance,
as an adhesive and a binder, in various industrial fileds, such as
textile, paper and medicine. However, raw starch has limits to its
wider industrial application because of its properties of easily decaying,
retrogradation, and thermally resistance. This barrier has been pulled
down by the modified starch technology. With the further advance of
science has come an ever-widening use of modified starch. |

is a producer of modified starch, based in Nakhorn-Ratchasima Province
in Thailand. We were joint-venture established in 1987 by two Japanese
firms and one local concerned. One of the two Japanese firms is ITOCHU
(THAILAND) Co., Ltd. (ITOCHU) a trading house with worldwide
operations and the other is NIPPON STARCH CHEMICAL CO., LTD.
(NSC), a pioneer in the filed of modified starch. The Thai
partner is CHAIYAPHUM PLANT PRODUCT CO., LTD. (CPP),
a leading manufacturer of tapioca starch in Thailand. |
